Conrad, Paul (1924 - 2010)

Conrad started cartooning at the University of Iowa for the Daily Iowan. While serving with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, during the Second World War, Conrad received a B.A. in art in 1950. After receiving his degree, he worked for the Denver Post, where he spent 14 years before joining the Los Angeles Times. He was chief editorial cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times from 1964 to 1993 and was syndicated to hundreds of newspapers worldwide. His distaste for Presided Richard Nixon led the cartoonist to being on Nixon's black list in 1973.
